McNurlen Awarded Accounting Scholarship

 

MONTGOMERY, W.Va __ Ms. Jamie McNurlen, a student majoring in accounting in the College of Business, Humanities and Sciences, has been awarded one of three scholarships given annually to students at Kanawha Valley universities by the Charleston Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

McNurlen, from St. Albans, received the $200 scholarship Nov. 15 in recognition of her academic achievement and other activities.

The Dean’s List student has maintained a high GPA while working 30-to-45 hours per week and carrying a full-time course load. She is an active member of Accounting Leaders of Tomorrow, a campus organization, and has been involved in community service activities.
