Assistant/Associate Professor

POSITION: Assistant/Associate Professor, Department of Engineering Technology, a full time, tenure track, nine (9) month, position within the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences (CES).

QUALIFICATIONS: At least a  Master’s Degree in a electrical /electronic engineering or engineering technology with a B.S degree in a relevant field in engineering or engineering technology from an ABET accredited or equivalent program and at least three years of related industrial experience are required.   Commitment to teaching excellence/ innovation and student learning and development.  Candidate must have good written and oral communication skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in engineering technology, with a major emphasis on electronics.   Other duties are expected as associated with a tenure-track faculty position in an ABET accredited engineering technology program. 

WVU TECH: “WVU Tech,” a division of West Virginia University, is a four year, public, residential, co-educational institution located in Montgomery, West Virginia, 28 miles southeast of Charleston, the capital of West Virginia. The position is in the Leonard C. Nelson College of Engineering and Sciences.  The College offers bachelor of science (BS) engineering technology programs: Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, and Industrial Technology along with bachelor of science (BS) programs in engineering : Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, and programs in the sciences (BS): Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science.

SALARY & RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
