POSITION: Accounting, full-time, nine-month, Tenure-Track faculty position.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Accounting or related area is preferred; ABD with CPA, CMA, or CFE certification will be considered. Completion of the terminal degree is a condition for tenure. Experience in in-class and on-line course delivery is preferred. Documented evidence of commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and problem resolution skills is essential. Candidates must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate may teach undergraduate courses in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Governmental Accounting, Auditing, Income Tax Accounting, and other courses as required and assigned by the Department Chair. Responsibilities in addition to teaching include: student advising, committee assignments, participation in recruiting activities, and performing other auxiliary duties associated with a faculty position in accounting program. Willingness to teach some off-campus classes is desirable.
WVU TECH: WVU Institute of Technology is a division of West Virginia University and a four-year, public residential, coeducational institution located in Montgomery, West Virginia, 28 miles southeast of Charleston. The position is in the Department of Accounting and Finance of the College of Business, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
SALARY & RANK: Commensurate with qualifications.
