Student tutors must:
1) Have completed at least one semester at WVU Tech and be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.75 or better.
2) Have passed the class or a similar class of equivalent or higher academic level in which he/she is tutoring with a "A" or "B"
3) Get a recommendation from a faculty member in the subject area in which you will be tutoring.
Student will tutor students on a one on one basis or in small groups in subject areas in which he/she is qualified to tutor. (See qualifications in the skills needed section)
Specific subject areas in which tutors are needed varies. Tutors are usually always needed for various math classes. See Catherine Turner, Room 311 Old Main to find out more about specific tutoring needs.
